Authors abound at AGGS

The English department at Altrincham Grammar School for Girls is beaming with pride this month, as a number of students are honing their writing skills brilliantly in the public domain.

Year 10 student Freya has been selected as a finalist in the ‘Writing the Pandemic’ competition run by the University of Manchester School of Creative Writing. She was picked out of several hundred entries and her work will be published in their upcoming collection which celebrates the creativity at this time.

Zesha, who left Year 13 this summer, is off to study medicine, but freelances for different publications in her spare time. She has had articles published in both the TES and The Times. Meanwhile, Year 12 student Charlie has written her own full length novel, ‘Radio Silence‘ in lockdown – and it has now been published.

Congratulations to all of you on these wonderful achievements!
