Bright Futures SCITT awarded Undergraduate Internship Contract

We are delighted to have been awarded a contract to run the DFE STEM Undergraduate Teaching Internship Programme in June 2022. We will now be seeking to recruit 9 undergraduates in maths, physics and computing who will work as teaching interns in schools across the North West  for 3 weeks in June. This course is fully-funded and an excellent way for future teachers to gain experience before they apply.

Schools benefit enormously by offering these internships to stem students who will act as Teaching Assistants –  running intervention groups, preparing resources and participating in all aspects of school life. All interns will be guaranteed an interview with the Bright Futures SCITT for their ITT training.

Eleanor Davidson, Bright Futures SCITT Director says:

“The Bright Futures SCITT are delighted to have won this contract to deliver the excellent Teaching Internship Programme for the 5th consecutive year.  As well as offering a wonderful additional support in shortage subjects to our partner schools, many of these interns have gone on to complete their ITT training with us and now work as teachers across the local area. They are always of the highest calibre and we very much look forward to supporting them again this year”
