YST Quality Mark for South Shore

South Shore has attained a Silver Quality Mark for its PR provision from the Youth Sport Trust (YST). This nationally recognised badge of excellence for PE and school support is aligned to Ofsted and looks at overall vision for PE, physical activity and school sport, the quality of PE, the quality of the school and physical activity and the use of PE, physical activity and sport as a catalyst for wider learning. This is a very special achievement as it is the first time South Shore Academy has been awarded this mark.  A huge well done to all involved, particularly the PE department who have given many hours to positively develop and grow our students and have also worked tirelessly on running clubs, creating links to sport and developing a curriculum that supports physical activity.
